Our Process

What exactly will Utility Rates Analysts do for my business?
Utility bills can be complex and difficult to understand. Most companies do not have the time or expertise to properly analyze their utility costs and make the mistake of paying bills without asking the right questions. However, more and more often, errors are popping up in bills either due to incorrect rates, over-taxation, and misread meters. It is these errors that go unnoticed and over time costs can add up, sometimes equaling thousands of dollars. URA will visit your facility, review your past bills, and scrutinize you utility usage to determine if your company is losing money on utilities. We will present our findings to you with our recommendations for changes, and if there are immediate savings we will initiate the process with the utility company to recover those savings. Depending on your needs, URA reviews all utility bills: electric, gas, water, sewer and telephone/telecommunications and data lines.

How much do you charge?
Our standard practice is to bill based on shared savings and there are no up-front costs for your business. If we do not find any savings on your utilities, there is no charge. You are only billed after savings are realized.

Why should I choose your company?
We have been in business since 1990 helping our clients save money. Our analysts are experienced, professional, and committed, with proven expertise in the utility field. Our goal is to make the whole process transparent to our clients. Reports are completed in a timely manner and all work is done quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption to your business. All contact with utility companies is completed by URA, freeing you up to run your business with renewed peace of mind. We also have a proven record of success as we find savings for our clients over 80% of the time.

What is my responsibility?
Your responsibility is to permit URA access to your past bills and related correspondence, and to have a representative or contact available to answer questions that may arise. If applicable, we may need to do an analysis of your business, especially if machinery and/or manufacturing is involved, so we will need access to your facilities as well. URA will also need authorization from you to speak to the utility companies on your behalf.
